in the park...after dark... she was a little nervous because it's a long walk from the car to the playset and there were still a handful of couples milling about. I think these came out great and would like to expound upon them - during daylight hours...

Look, mate. The last thing you want is daylight a photographer, you want to control composition, including angles and subject placement and a lot of other stuff, but above all, you want to control the light. The very word, "Photography", means Light Writing in the light at night requires art. Controlling it in the daylight hours is a lot of damn work.
